One advantage of having a front door with a classic color is you know it will still look good even if you change your roofing and siding colors. Choose deep red or navy blue, if you want a classic look with richer colors.
Add Pop With Bright Colors
Designers will tell you that the front door is like a beacon that guides the eyes from the curb. Colors like bright red or lime green may not work for sliding doors, but they certainly work well on front entry doors. If your exterior is dominated somber or neutral colors, a brightly-colored front door adds that much-needed pop or color. Consider a darker shade if you find such colors too bright for your taste.
